About Shape.Net
The founder of Shape.Net, Larry King, wanted to apply his 10 plus years of experience designing high-level banking applications on Wall Street towards building an innovative software company. After analyzing the available software in the health club industry and concluding that most systems were not well integrated and were not web-based, the beginnings of Shape.Net emerged. The system was designed using the latest technologies available in the industry, Microsoft® .NET Framework, along with an enterprise level database, Microsoft® Sql Server 2000. The product was first released to the market in 2002, claiming rights to be the first complete club management system that was exclusively web-based.
Tim Grotenhuis joined our team in 2004 as Chief Software Architect, providing over 8 years experience designing systems on Wall Street. Larry had worked with Tim on prior software projects. Tim’s high level design skills led to enhancing the development of the system, creating the best comprehensive and integrated web-based software system in the health club industry today.
